Long Time No See

I would say it has been quite a while since I last posted on my blog!! I am a total slacker. However, with my facebook profile, I kind of keep everyone up to date. My sister, who has commented on my lack of blogging skills, will be happy to see I have done this little bit of blogging.

Since it's been so long, there have been several changes. The most significant is the birth of our baby boy Koen Justus Daley! He has been a blessing for sure! I will post pictures with this post if I can remember/figure out how.

Jackson and Kailynn were more than thrilled about welcoming a new baby into our family and they are super at helping me. Jackson made my day earlier by saying, "Mama, you take really good care of Koen. And me and sissy and daddy." Really now, that could melt a heart of stone!

Anyway, nothing much to share right now. Please feel free to comment or tell me about happenings in your life.

Kailynn's Picture Day and Belated Birthday Dinner

Today Sarah came by after she got off work to take Kailynn's 5 month pictures. It was the first time that Kailynn really cooperated. It seems like any other time Sarah has tried to take her pictures, she was really fussy and just refused to give us much of anything. Not today. We took her outside and put her on her blanket. Kailynn had a good time. She sat up, laid on her back, got up on her hands and knee, and flashed her precious little 4-tooth smile. I couldn't have asked for more! Sarah sent me a sneak peak and it was SOOO cute! I can't wait to see the rest! I hope you don't mind Sarah, but I am so excited that I want to post that one. You and Sabrina are the only people (that I am aware of) that look at my blog, so I hope you don't mind. You do such a great job and I really appreciate it!

And later, Ryan brought home Carrabba's. Yummy. This was my birthday dinner. While my birthday was on Monday, it was still a REALLY good b-day dinner. He even brought me a dessert from Carrabba's too. I don't know what it was called, but it was chocolate!
Before Sarah's arrival, we went outside to fly Jackson's new Spiderman kite. It was nice and windy. Perfect weather for flying kites. He has never flown one but he did really well. If it came plowing towards the ground, he would pull on the string just right and it would turn and start climbing back up. He was a pro. Who would think that a $1 kite from Walmart could bring so much joy? He loves it. I got a few pics with my cell phone but they aren't great quality. I will make sure to take my digital camera the next time we fly the kite.

Glum Days

There isn't a lot going on in our house. We are just hanging out. With the rain, I can't take the kids outside and Jackson is wanting to have a picnic. I told him we would have to wait until it was dry outside and a little warmer than it is today. I refuse to take Kailynn outside in this weather unless we are going to get in the car.

On another note, Kailynn cut two teeth sometime between 11:00 last night and 8:00 this morning. That makes four teeth already. All on the bottom. I don't think I have ever seen a baby with no teeth on top and so many on bottom. When the new ones catch up with the other two, she is going to look funny. Maybe she will cut a few top teeth soon. We will see.

redressing a blog

Like I said, I am very new at this. Brina, tell me how to do a background from the website where you found yours. I looked, found the one I like, but I don't know how to apply it to my blog. Go step by step, and be specific. Any other suggestions are welcome.

just learning

Ok. I have finally decided to try this blogging thing. Not that my life is so interesting that the whole world wants to know what is going on with me. I imagine the only people that will read this is SR and ST or somebody that just happens to stumble across it. Anyway, I am learning so those who see this, please be patient and ignore the ignorance.
